Have you been able to snag an NES Classic Edition in your area yet? Any funny or bad stories to share in trying to track one down?

My local Target got about 30 in last week and they were smart enough to limit it one per customer. Didn't stop scalpers from trying however, as they would bring in their six kids ranging from 5 to 12 with money in hand each wanting to buy a NES classic. Thankfully the people working saw through that.

I am done supporting Nintendo's deliberately under stocking/artificial inflating/scalper friendly nonsense. Do it right the first time Nintendo.

I don't even want one but I hope Nintendo makes a ton of them so the scalpers have no leverage and end up losing money.

I dunno what's worse, the scalpers themselves, or the enablers. I keep seeing people talk about how they're willing to shell out so much money for it, and it bothers me. $60 I can get behind. $200 I cannot.

There's 0 resistance in the wiring extensions = absolutely no added lag. But its fun to listen to Pat talk like he knows everything.

5:20 opting for the longer hdmi cable over the extension does not have to do with the lag, rather save sates and game switching is done through the buttons on the console which you would want close to you. If you just get the controller extension then you have to get up and move to the console every time you want to save or switch games.

I've seen some scalpers in facebook gaming groups congratulating themselves for selling the NES classic... They somehow believe they are doing us a great service buying up all the stock before genuine customers can.
The delusion is downright hilarious.

I bet next week we'll see a combination of "sold out everywhere, and get it for Christmas now" listings, though I haven't seen many below 200 myself in Northern California.

persistence and politeness got me mine. Would ask my local game store every three days if they got new info on stock. Always told no. One day I check my Facebook and they privately contacted me to ask me when I could come into the store since they just got two. Showed up in 20 minutes. If you are in the Windsor, Ontario area Game MD will always treat you well. Happy Holidays!

Where did you get the info about the lag with the extension cables? they aren't converting any signal or something and it's just copper based transition of button presses which is very neglectable if that signal has to travel a somewhat longer distance.
correct me if i'm wrong :)

My Best Buy had 26 and gave tickets to the first 26 in line but I unfortunately was not within the 26th in line
