We're in the heart of summer and we all know it's hot here in the Central Valley, but many want to know how hot it actually is outside each afternoon. The easiest spot to find that answer is in your car, but there are many reasons why that may not be the most accurate reading.

Terrible reporting!!!! Fact #1. Your phones temperature is giving you the temp reading from wherever your locations thermometer is. Fact #2. The temp reading in your car is most accurate because you could be 10 feet from another thermometer and it could be 5° warmer due to the rays of the sun and warm/ cold air pockets. Fact #3. Yes the vehicles temp sensor is most accurate after driving and having the air blowing on it. This is just a poor story that does not give all the facts. This story is equal to comparing differences between samples of “poop”
