Car-Free Day in Jakarta happens every Sunday from 6am to 11am. Five full hours of pedestrians taking back the streets.

We started our walk from Gajah Mada and ended up at Grand Indoneaia shopping mall.

Since May 2012 Car-Free Day in Jakarta is held every Sunday. It is held on the main avenues of the city, Jalan Sudirman and Jalan Thamrin, from Senayan area to Monas (Monumen Nasional), from 6 AM to 11 AM.

Would I wake up for this Jakarta carfree day again? Sure. It was fun.

This was a really enjoyable video Jason. What a great idea to have car free day. We do that on Sundays here in my city as well, during the summer. There is a street market too. The people of Jakarta seem so nice and friendly. Such pretty young ladies. Speaking of which, the lovely Noochi looks so good, coming or going. 😍👍👍 Loved the video, thanks for posting!
