To launch our adventure with surds, we're kicking off our surds playlist for higher GCSE maths and IGCSE maths revision with a very simple and effective trick to start making surds easier for you!
After 8 years of teaching GCSE & A Level maths, it's definitely fair to say that surds cause a lot of problems - and I think I know part of the reason why - hence the surds trick mentioned in the video!
There's so much to do with surds in higher GCSE maths - from simplifying surds and expressions, expanding brackets containing surds, rationalising denominators containing surds and much, much more.
I've seen this trick improve so many student's confidence with surds, and can't recommend it highly enough!
