How do I mount it OUTSIDE - not on a wall or ceiling....like in a tree or pole in the yard ? and...Will it survive the elements?

For those interested, just realize its not that usefull without cam plus subscription. Without it, even with SD card, you are limited to 12 second clips, if you try to change it, they pop the Cam plus screen to subscribe. Almost everything you do in the app, many settings and UI elements are dedicated to popping up the cam plus subscription screen, they really want you to know about Cam Plus. I wouldn't recommend this cam with SD card only.

While I appreciate the video, the part of screwing the entire tassembly to the mount on the wall is MUCH harder than advertised, at least for me. The camera still dangles loose each time, even though I've tightened it several times. With the wall mount not secured to wall, I can tighten it. This is extremely painful

Would it hold with only two screws? I want to mount this on house vinyl siding using those non-damaging siding hooks.

LOVE this camera. I’ve installed some of these using the heavy duty outdoor gorilla tape (black) due to…errr…issues with the mounting locations around my home. 😂

Shockingly, they’ve held up for months. I plan on doing some silly reviews, otherwise, I hope folks find creative ways to use this awesome cam! 🎉

Can I use wyze lamp socket? I currently got a wyze Cam V3 with a wyze lamp socket on the backyard.

My Outdoor v2’s are starting to die. As much as I like the idea of a replaceable battery, I don’t like the fact that it’s not a mag mount like my v2. I use an extended arm to pull the cameras down to charge because they are high. This has been convenient because it’s difficult to get a ladder in some of the areas, and downright dangerous to try in the winter. I’m not sure I can use these new cameras with this type of mount. If you offer a mag mount option I might stay with Wyze.

Good product but the settings are really minimal. 12 seconds of recording every 1 minutes. Seriously 12 seconds is very little and the only way to increase it is to pay for an annual or monthly plan. Very above the DoorBell Duo and the Wyze Battery Cam Pro for that reason. With the Wyze Cam V3, Cam OG and the Cam Pan V3 no problem for the Cam V4 no idea.

Mine don’t charge with the solar panel.

The problem is not the solar panel because it can charge my cellphone when I plug it.

Maybe the USB on the camera?

I am looking for a solution.
