Retirement Housing Options in Singapore

Singapore is going to be a super-aging society in the next few decades. One in 4 Singaporeans will be above 65 years old by 2030. This is only 6 years down the road. What housing options are there for our seniors? Should they age at home or should they move to a nursing home? Should they downgrade from their current HDB flat or private property and move to a smaller house? What about private retirement villages? Is that an alternative for the man of the street?

If an elderly can afford a 1+1 private property which is same size as the 2 room hdb… but at a more prestigious district eg d15… shd he go for it?

Low capital profit, , but a decade of high rental, low mortgage or literally none..that’s huge passive income..is a no brainer for low budget buyers below 700k for private
