Man, idk what it is about this band. Normally i dont go in for the post-ironic, 4th wall breaking, introverted commentary, but cheekface makes it so fun and sad at the same time. Helps that the melodies get stuck in my head like a fuggin internal bear trap. Cheekface has become its iwn genre to me, cause i dont like anything aesthetically similar to them, but ive been a huge fan since i found the pizza album.

The only thing that I love more than Cheekface is that my 4 year old daughter loves them just as much as I do and asks to listen to them in the car ALL the time. The sense of humor, melody, catchiness...it knows no age! Thank you Cheekface!

In a span of just a month of two, yall became one of my favourite bands ever

Yall have some deceptively deep observations about uncomfortable truths of modern society, and you dont shy away from it, but all the while staying very down-to-earth. Yalls lyrical style feels very blunt and honest, even through the silliness and the post-ironic haze. It often makes me think yall worry about the same things I do, and I feel very seen and less alone in my discomfort.

And through it all--despite the worrisome subject matters--the endlessly catchy tunes, irreverent wit, and idiosyncratic song structure never fail to make it feel like a party at the end of the world. The worry abates, and gives way to head-bopping, sing-along joy.

I find a certain kind of hope in your songs, as though by freely acknowledging these truths and absurdities, we can begin to free ourselves of them, and begin to heal, both as individuals and as a greater whole. And further, a vibrant hope that there are increasingly more people who feel the same way.

Big props for picking up the miles of slack CAKE left behind by teasing a new album for the better part of a decade and then ghosting us. Meanwhile the Cheekface Factory keeps its doors open to all, with sodium-fueled Standard American Diet enough to go around, and the menu expands every year.
