Hiking Chamonix - La Jonction

This is one of the most popular trails in the Chamonix Valley which takes you up to La Jonction, a high altitude view point where the Glacier des Bossons and the Glacier de Taconnaz meet. To avoid the crowds we went at the end of the day before the chair lift closed and we reached La Jonction around sunset. We had enough light for the technical parts of the descend and by the time it was fully dark we were already back on the forest paths where we used our headtorches. A beautiful trail for sure. Only down side is that is a straight out and back again so the downhill can feel a bit tedious.
