This place is not a secret. I was stationed there in 1998. The Russians were allowed in the caves if they had diplomatic plates on their cars. It was to prove to them that we were not up to anything sinister. The funny this was is that I was not allowed in the caves, we just had to guard them.

To be the best military in the world isn't about whose tank is stronger. It's who can be the best logistics company in the world. That's exactly what the US military is.

Pomcus sites are located throughout Europe and have been since the Cold War for rapid troop deployment.

This is the same thing they had in Europe when I was there in the 70s-80s. They were called POMCUS, prepositioned stocks of vehicles and supplies for REFORGER troops. Also, prime targets for the Soviets if we went to war.

Getting paid to race around, using someone else's car, in snow and ice and not get crap from the boss when you get stuck. Heaven!

I'm 53 years old and still remember the days of the cold War when all this information was Secret and I believe it still should be.
Regardless of the international situation/s I cannot believe the level of Public Disclosure especially now. Is this really in the Militaries best interest?
I don't think so

Shortly after the signing of the treaty in 1981, the BLT2/2, of which I served as a Pfc. in ECHO Company, 1st Platoon .
Our C.O. was Capt. Goodman.
We arrived aboard the U.S.S. Shreveport in FEB.1982.
proud to be part of such an important, vital in fact, strategic play by NATO and the United States Marine Corps specifically .

We always had prepositioned equipment in Europe, back in the early 80’s we use to draw equipment for Reforger exercises. Flying in from Conus.
