I've seen many people cut off a tiny square from a tea bag so they have a thin layer of material that works like a bandage. They use a small amount nail glue or even super glue it to adhere the "bandage" to the nail. Then, they file it down just a bit so it doesn't stick out too much. They finish the job with a coat of nail polish to add strength to the nail. I hope this helps/makes sense
