We’ve been hands-on with EA SPORTS WRC’s new 2024 Locations & Cars Content Pack - a new ‘24-season DLC pack, available later this week.

It includes ‘five’ new cars and the stages for two all-new events - Rally Lativa and Rally Poland.

I actually prefer the release model of having one major release with a bunch of updates over a few years, just like with e.g. Microsoft Flight Simulator. I would be fine with WRC being supported with DLC for let’s say 3 years in total until the next major release

This release model is MUCH healthier than what Codemasters has to do with F1.
That being said, I would want a physics overhaul for this title. It's heavily based on the DR2 physics, and that's getting old at this point. A more natural, simulation accuracy focused handling model would make me put down more money for this title. But as is, it is not for me.

I really like that there is no annual releases. Hopefully this game will get DLC's for many years to come.

The game was already great and this model will only make it better.

I like the idea of an update rather than a totally new game for the sake of it. I would like to see them add super special stages though - we had some of those in the Kylotonn WRC games.

I've actually been enjoying this alot. Coming from Dirt Rally, Dirt Rally 2.0 and Dirt 4. I ended up purchasing the DLC to show support as it's currently my main rally game at the moment.

I think interim dlc updates like this suit the more niche games. I also don't blame them for repackaging the new dlc as a whole 2024 game for new users, casual users that want the 2024 game will search for it in store and be happy to have an 'up to date' option

I think this is the route most sports games should go. Updates/DLC allows for better development of a next title.

Given the stability in the regulations for several more seasons, doing a base game one year and then annual expansion updates makes more sense. WRC, as a sport & series, has less overall fans than F1, so it should go for strategies that maximize it's relative niche status. While a drawback would be an aging game engine, it would create a neat organic experience of the game 'growing up' with the regulations it showcases. And that's before we factor in the unknown of post-hybrid Group Rally1 cars... 😅

All I want from the upcoming DLC packs is an Escort WRC and an Octavia WRC!
And with that, a lot of effort is put into making the engine sound right on both of them.
I can just see the wife and kids going out for the day once the volume is turned up.😂

I'm a Korean WRC rally fan...
I'm a console PS5 user, but honestly, EA WRC is not more advanced than Dirt 2.0 Rally,
but rather, it seems to have regressed graphically or technically,
so I'm really disappointed.. It's fortunate that the next DLC isn't being sold at full price...

I‘d really like to get many more historic cars. For me the real fun is to experience how different cars behave and how to get the optimum performance from each on the stages. A DLC just including new cars would be great!

(VR) the windsheild is like a second screen where the reflection is like calculated and projected like a movie on the windscreen.
This is why it is blurry. You see a projection over a projection, like poor special FX in very old movies.

Do you have the old graphics card lying around somewhere? Your test sounds a bit like "We tried again to see if they'd improved the problem with stutters. Using our new graphics card..." Thanks.

I hope they buff some preexisting cars like the C3 Rally 2 to more accurately reflect real world pace, and introduce new classes/revamp old ones for much needed balance tweaking like the McRae cars being way too dominant and out of place, so is the one singular 1.6 WRC in a sea of 2.0Ls with the countryman, since we'll likely be getting more 1.6 WRCs in the future, that should become a new class.
Making RC1 multiclass between current and last year is an odd choice, but I think there will be filters for this, or well better be because I expect the '24 cars to be direct upgrades.

I Like EA WRC, I would love to have WRC external Sounds on Cockpit view and the real deal Tripple Screen Support just like in other Racing Titles, then EA WRC would be my 100% Rally game!
