Visitors should not go haggis hunting unless they have been well trained and have a licence.

Don't leave a mess. Especially so in the most remote parts. Respect the land

This is absolutely correct. My daughter and I just did a 9 day hiking tour of some of the Highlands and it was amazing! Inverness, Fort William and Oban are great places to visit. Oban might be one of the prettiest towns I’ve visited.

Also, no matter what, do not call us English ;)

My trip around Scotland took me to Edinburgh, Inverness, Oban, Fort William and Glasgow. Absolutely loved it. I have never seen so many colours of green.

You should visit Cullen, Portsoy, whitehills and that area. It’s really pretty. I am so happy I’m from Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

I went to tiree many years ago, the ferry ride from Oban past Coll to tiree was one of the most beautiful things in the world.

Cities are noisy and dirty.
My sensory overload is just, "no thank you!" 😅

I fell for Scotland the first time i visited highlands 16 years ago. I try to do an annual pilgrimage. Been as far north as Tongue, or Staffa or Iona to the West coast. It is my dream to leave London and move to highlands.

Also, alcohol legally cannot be sold before 10am or after 10pm, so if you want beer, wine, whiskey etc from a store or supermarket get it before 10pm

Don't forget the wee towns & villages. Dumfries & Galloway, where I live, seems to be forgotten over Glasgow & Edinburgh.

If you're American, don't claim to be Scottish unless you were born here and moved away.

Don't forget wellies and umbrella too. ☔

Correct! Loved beeing there. The only "negative" point is the weather, but then again i'm from Portugal and i went there i August, so getting rain and cold wasn't the best thing. But still loved beeing there.

My husband and I went last year. While the cities were great, our favorite part of the trip was venturing out into the country and discovering the beauty of the hidden villages and history. So much more to see!

Don’t walk through Easterhouse at 11
Pm on a Friday and expect to keep everything

Couldn't agree more. The Scottish countryside is absolutely spectacular

Here are some of my recommendations, go have a wee trip to Islay and visit all the distillery’s and beaches! It’s like a second home to me and I can tell you the people are lovely. Glasgow and Edinburgh are great cities but are stocked up with tourists so have your look around then go elsewhere is my recommendation
