5:35 this is probably true. I've had new flowers wither away as soon as the pollinia was removed (phalaenopsis orchid as well so it's not supposed to wither thar fast)

I just bought a Phalenopsis White in a dish garden with a Chocolate Aglonemia sorry for my spelling lol . They put moss over everything but underneath they are in separate containers. It’s very pretty !
After it’s done blooming I’ll check the orchid I can almost guarantee it’s packed tight with spag moss as usual .

If the thick outer velamen of the root breaks partially or cracks such that it still holds together...it can still survive and need not be cut/ removed?
