I find Carl a tragic figure living on the fame of his youth and yearning for that feeling again. It makes me respect actually his editor in his youth who kept his journalists not cutting corners and forced to get more sources and do the grunt work it takes to do it right. It is sad. I want facts and let me make up my mind.
