I usually don’t watch “higher end” lifestyle videos as they don’t represent my reality.😉 This was so well done I couldn’t stop watching. Both interesting and articulate men. New subscriber.

Adam... you are a fantastic interviewer. Amazing how you set up that question regarding the math of his healthcare decisions. Well done...

I spent a week in Koh Samui back in 1986, back then it indeed was Paradise. Very few tourists, no airport, just beach bures with bars. Very cheap back then too.

This was really good and informative from someone living it. I'm months away from stepping out of the workforce and studying options. Thailand is one of the options. This was really helpful. Thanks

Well done Petey on your retirement lifestyle, obviously done the hard yards and now enjoying the rewards. My wife and I love Koh Samui, the Thai people and their culture. We're returning for our 5th trip in June for 4 weeks to start looking at the lay of the land for our possible/hopeful retirement plan there too. Hua Hin might be another option, I hear its got a lot of expats there and might be cheaper than KS...we're in our 50's so a few years away from retiring but living here in NZ is expensive and I can't see our retirement $$ going very far here...I prefer the heat any day rather than our freezing winters. cheers✌🏼🍻

USA should allow those 65+ to use our Medicare system overseas - we pay in to it our whole lives afterall! Nice video!

Petey seems like a great bloke! It would be nice to see his house and what his expenses are in another video. Cheers!

I met a couple from Mount Maunganui, in the flight back to Bangkok from NZ. Lovely people as most kiwis I met!

Very enjoyable video. I spent my first couple of years in Thailand in Samui and it's a beautiful Island. I really enjoyed my time there. I did find it a bit limiting though. The car ferry to Donsak is a bind to get on and off to go to the mainland and things can get a bit "same same" on a small island. I like golf and Samui only has one real golf club which was one of the reasons why I eventually left. I then spent a year in Hua Hin which I enjoyed. I currently live just outside Pattaya which I am enjoying. Everywhere has there pros and cons and I think that you have to settle somewhere that feels right for you. 🤗

I agree with what he said about island fever. I find it necessary to travel to places with cold weather if you live in a tropical climate. Hot weather gets aggravating just as much as cold does unless you’re from Siberia or Canada.

Samui wasn't really rural 25 years ago but it wasn't over built like today. It was much nicer though than today
