The announcement ahead of a two-day virtual climate summit organized by President Joe Biden.

Gathering 40 heads of state, Biden reasserted America's commitment to the world's climate change agenda, after the previous Trump administration walked away from the 2015 Paris Climate Agreement.

The general response was positive, but without significant pledges from the world's biggest emittors like China and India, and America's climate credibility still in question, will President Biden's initiative lead to concerted action?
