If Lord of the Rings awoke my imagination, and D&D showed me the light of treasure, Fallout helped me understand darkness. It was a formative experience for me to play Fallout, so thanks for sharing your thoughts on it. I definitely came to the channel for Fallout and stayed for the code, but even if the world would be the same, my experience would have been very difficult.

what i notice about managers preferring to hire with no experience rather than adjacent experience is that they want to train the unexperienced to do what the the managers desires, especially if they desire control. I think it also comes back to the "fungible employee management style." they don't want a collaborator, they want someone to do what they're told.

I think I'm a viewer who initially came for Fallout, but always wanted to know the person behind it. And that latter part was exactly why I stayed.

Hi Tim, it's me, s00perd00per. You did indeed answer my question! I agree that probably ideas arise when they're needed, and this video was very insightful. Also, it's neat how you talk about your channel at the end of the video. I kind of fall into that example. Like. I knew you'd worked on Fallout, and I knew you'd worked on PoE/Tyranny, but I had no idea you'd done Arcanum or VTMB. I really loved VTMB and the realization that you and your team had worked on it became super apparent after learning it. I also bought Arcanum on GOG a long time ago, and played it for about an hour and was kinda 'meh', but after hearing you talk about it, and learning you had worked on it, I went back and made myself replay it, and I ended up really loving it.

I think i speak for a lot of people when I say we are really REALLY interested in what you'd think about a Fallout set outside of the USA, and it would give a bump to the mod, which would be awesome given it's troublesome last months of development!

I will fully admit that I found this channel because of my love of Fallout.. and not even the original. I started with Fallout 3 in 2010 and didn't get to the original Fallout until THIS YEAR. It was then really cool to find out that you worked on The Outer Worlds, another game that I really like. And then to my surprise... Bard's Tale Construction Set!! I loved that game. We would spend time in the high school computer room in 1996 messing around with BTCS.

It's interesting. I discovered your channel after a popular gaming channel did a react to one of your videos about experiences in the game development industry.
