I came to Canada during the time of the Harper government. My payrate during that time was at $10.50 an hour but my bank approved me for a loan to buy my own townhouse in the greater Vancouver area. And yes you can live normal even when you have a pay rate of $10.50 an hour and I saw how great Canada was when the conservative was in-charge and everything just insanely fell apart when someone moronically said that the budget will balance itself.
