Dionne, I believe Amy's persona is felt by the majority of her Fan's (like me).
What you experienced and knew about Amy, We did too ... she expressed this in her lyrics and music ... I knew who she was. As an Elder, Amy showed us the experience, caring and love, which is usually, only known by an Elder.

I cry today and any day I allow myself to become immersed in her songs ... Amy sings, what we know.

1st time I heard of Amy Winehouse I was in Pure Groove Record shop (Locked on Records) in Archway.
They were playing some of her tracks and I asked who the artist was and the told me its a new local artist called Amy and that she is going to be big
