Audacity 2.4.2 | ACX Check and Setup | Audiobook Narration - for Mac

Here is a new video as of how to set up audacity for ACX check and get the numbers setup so you don't have to do it every time. This is in Audacity 2.4.2. as of Sept 2020 on a MAC computer.

If you are doing some audiobook narration for ACX (Amazon), and want to make sure you have all the settings right, here is a way to setup a macro to make it really easy for you after you have done the bulk of your editing after narrating.

This was exactly what I have been searching for. I'm in the process of recording my fathers narration of his book and was a bit mystified with acx submission requirements! I am SHOCKED. I've been messing around with this off and on for about 3 months. Finally got a microphone so I thought I'd try it. Someone suggested macros so off to youtube and here you are. I should say for nontechies like me, when you click to download, my PC (not a mac) asked WHERE I wanted the Nyquist file to download. Clueless me. So after looking at the options, I thought maybe Notepad? I downloaded it there and found it. Look, I'm not a techie. Thanks so much! Definitely have to redo my recording but now I at least feel confident sending it in.

I'm watching this in November 2021 and it was SO helpful! I couldn't figure out why my file wasn't meeting acx standards, and all the other videos I've watched were so complicated.
