Yes ive been pulled over a few times...they also do roadside safety checks here in our town. Those are just as scary!

No reason to get nervous. MOST cops are cool if you're cool with them. I just got pulled over a few weeks ago for running a stop sign apparently (I think I did a rolling stop) and turns out my reg was expired! He let me drive home and gave me a warning told me to get my car registered and I was on my way! Respect and honesty takes you far with the police

Good that you were courteous and respectful to him which is why he let you drive home. I've never been pulled over because i always check my registration hehehe.

They have automatic license plate readers and they can read your license plate and everything about the vehicle and it's supposed to be registered to in milliseconds. Then they alert the law-enforcement individual and that's how you get pulled over. If you don't take care of the registration and the insurance and the drivers license and everything else that goes along with being a responsible adult this is what happens. There are errors made and sometimes renewal for license plates get lost in the mail or destroyed but that's not your story.
