Nice video! There was a nice shot of my former ship, "Tiglax", anchored in the distance. I spent seven seasons on that ship as a deckhand supporting scientists and archeologists doing work in the Aleutians. At last count, I got ashore on about 85 of the islands and did some great hiking and exploration in my off hours. One biologist described the islands as "a cross between Ireland and the moon". A truly spectacular place...

My grandfather fought here from 43to44 then onto Rhineland and Central Europe from Jan 45 till the end of the war. His 355th infantry regiment liberated Ohrdruf concentration Camp April 5th 6th of 45. He told my father Attu and Kiska was one of the most beautiful and horrible place he'd ever seen.

Used to do some work on the Bearing Sea and would always stay in Dutch Harbor for a week or so because of how tiring work was 16+hrs/day the islands are beautiful it’s just people ruin everything… especially tourists… 😅
