How does human society produce in this future where the origin of this technology was conceived from a capitalistic society ? If robots make up the most of what is produced then how are income levels set by individuals ? UBI has to be inevitable which is why they are preparing for a digital currency to control how citizens are compensated . How would people become wealthy if all they do is consume rather than produce ? It sounds like a socialized system where people will be rewarded by their consumer behavior rather than what service or product they produce. We can be well short of singularity to see these problems realized.

We could solve most if not all the problems you have presented. The biggest and most stubborn of the roadblocks is the need of the rich to become richer. We now have more than any generation that has gone before us. But this wealth is firmly entrenched in the so called west. The larger, advanced nations who have a strong military presence. In these countries even the not so well off are richer than any person in all the generations past. Sounds good but even then the overall wealth of these countries is controlled by a very, very rich minority. So much so that less than a dozen people own and have control over more than 90% of the available wealth. While the 90 +% of the people have significantly less than the remaining 10% of the available wealth. And for the rest of the world's population they exist on little more than air.
When wealth is spread more equitably, we'll be better off. No because it's not money that needs to change hands it's power. While the uber rich keep their hands on the reins it doesn't matter how the money is spread around because power to control resources needs to be shared equally. Money can change some things but it won't be permanent and it will be very limited.

Currently our thoughts are not our own. It is a collective consciousness. If thoughts were our own the average human being would have the capacity to keep one thought for more than 5 minutes. All being said currently that machine will augment human capabilities sounds great, however unimaginable adverse consequences in how we relate to each other as a specie. A quiet mind can accomplish all this proposed singularity now. We currently have the capacity, but generally we don't believe this is possible, because of our impatience with ourselves, we look to the scientific community, to produce artificial capabilities that can be bought from the store which is inherently our essence.

The "Singularity" will NOT be good for humankind! Two main reasons: 1. It's already prophesied in the Book of Revelation, and is not seen as a good thing. 2. Mankind is basically already evil, and does not have the ability to make this good! As long as selfishness, greed, anger, hatred, and lust all continue in the hearts of humanity, so will the "ROBOTS" that we create in our own image, with which we will reach this "Singularity". So, basically our evil hearts, minds and souls will just merge with the evil "robot minds" we create, causing evil to increase in the world. The ONLY hope against this is God Himself, through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Beware!
