SCALER 2 playing TARDIGRAIN - This Changes Things…

WARNING! Using Scaler 2 could change how you write music….

I resisted Scaler for a while, I wanted to write my own chord changes and thought it more creative to ‘do it my way’. In practise though, Scaler is just another tool. If you use it carefully it can help you learn new chords and arrangements, take you to places you wouldn’t have gone on your own. Like any other tool, it’s good to get to know it’s strengths and weaknesses, spend some time learning it and then it will reward you and increase creativity.

Tardigrain has had an update which makes it even more user friendly, some great new features. I’m just playing with a preset here, modulating as many parameters as possible to keep things moving. Still lot’s to learn but loving it so far.

Still using NEON as my main looping/audio recorder. It’s has more editing features than Loopy Pro like cropping and trimming, chopping and cutting samples and adding FX….very useful.

GATELAB is an essential app for me, using it to add more randomness to loops and phrases.
PLAYBEAT 3 is my go to drum app, some really great sounds and intuitive user interface. They also keep releasing free sample packs!

Visuals by STAELLA - I think I might have used all the visuals supplied so am looking for a new sound to light program, any ideas?

Been on a DEEP dive into audiophile headphone world, listening to some of the best DACs, Amps and Cans around (CanJam). Everything I do is created, mixed and mastered on Headphones (I use the HeddPhone) so hearing music in the best possible ‘audiophile’ way is fascinating. Sometimes hearing music in ‘better’ and more revealing way than (possibly) the artists themselves. It’s a big rabbit hole full of smoke and mirrors, the Emperors new clothes and snake oil but….I’m hooked! Not good for my bank balance 😂

Video created in LumaFusion, everything produced on an iPad Pro 2021.

Let me know what your thoughts - comments always appreciated.
Please ‘like’ if you do and subscribe to hear more….
Thanks for watching and listening

My second iOS album has just been released-

One of the greatest hurdles for anyone working digitally, is to get past the machinery and create something so human and engaging that it transcends the medium it was created in. This is yet another bullseye, Adam! All great art speaks not only about when and how it was created, but simultaneously says something universal about the human condition. This is divine. Your music is for here and now and forever. Magnificent as always.

For Visuals: VS Visual sYnthesizer by imaginando is great for sound / midi controlled visuals. I also just beta tested Spool which is more of you tapping the screen with the music and I believe was going to have a subscription.
