Watch John restore a Finnish hewing axe!

Last winter this huge, rare, Billnäs number 25 axe arrived all the way from Estonia as a rusted piece of metal on a birch handle laced with dry rot. John made a new handle and re-honed the blade. It is now used at Enger Grove to help shape our trees into square timbers.

John doesn't usually yell "Skol" when swinging it, but often feels like he should. It is definitely Viking-worthy!
