Matthias Reim – Ich hab' mich so auf Dich gefreut (Extended Version)

When Matthias Reim offered his composition "Verdammt ich lieb Dich" to various singers, no one wanted it – so he simply recorded it himself. The result was spectacular: the song spent 16 weeks atop the German charts. To this day, that is the second-longest time for a single ever. "Ich hab' mich so auf Dich gefreut" was the first single off his second album "Reim 2", and it still reached number 4 in the German charts.
