Ah yes, that sweet SB16 (how I remember Duke 3D when I first played).

3:55 Bells? Unexpected. "|You know the soundtrack's getting serious when they start adding things like bells.
7:01 Bells again.

I love the backing in the MS Synth version during the chorus, and I love those bells in the Roland versions

Yamaha MU80 11:30 wow, incredible that some people were enjoying Duke Nukem on this level while most of us were on 01:03 Soundblaster 16s (if we were lucky)

Hi, the original Yamaha MU80 tone generator was used in this video. Connected to modern PC via usb to midi cable and played trough dosbox. There are several software solutions like XG-lite but I think Yamaha stopped the support during Windows XP era. If you have some older machine you can grab the waveblaster connector compatible addon for soundcards - e.g. the NEC XG385 (which is compatible with DB50XG) on ebay.

I don't have the expansion for my AWE64 so I used the X-Fi Ti and the official Creative soundfonts. Those soundfonts shoud work with many Soundblaster cards.

Thank you so much for posting this! It was so hard to find the version with the true authentic sound! Great job, man!
