Along with the relevant great points mentioned is the focus on camera. It may seem obvious but that focus and speaking directly without script is effective. Maybe knowing main points helps when talking directly. The last part of 'pose, pause, pick' is great to make sure everyone is actually thinking for some time.

i know this was uploaded yonks ago, but i found this short video really helpful, concise and clear! loved the practical tips you mentioned i.e. pose, pause, pick before asking a question so everyone else is active, group work etc. love this. cheers 🩵

Thank you Ann. I am booked on my course in the next couple of weeks, armed with your tutorials and the award in Education and Training RE which arrived today. I am feeling quite excited about attending. I have already chosen my micro subject, which is completely different to the subject I hope to teach, but never less I believe will benefit every one. Any tips on getting the timing right ?. I think once you have your students engaged, you potentially have a runaway forum of people wanting to voice or inject opinion. How do you reign in, without upsetting people.
