I’m not handy. Got 1 of these at Homie Depot solely because it was the only box whose weight I could lift & carry. After a complete sad lip experience trying to assemble this, I took to YT & found you. Discovered I had the bottom shelf upside down; once all shelves were reversed, everything went together easily once I laid the unit on its side. I am building storage all over the house now; am on number 5! Proud of myself!! Wish this was designed with the lip upwards though so things in my new pantry don’t slide off. Fixed that by putting down spongy drawer liner.

I just put two of these together and to my surprise it was a pita doing so, especially for the first one. I initially thought it'd be a breeze doing so but it was fairly frustrating, unfortunately.
The concept of the plastic sleeves catching on the "indent" on the legs was a poor idea, at least company's execution of it. They kept falling apart and off the legs. Therefore, I began to wrap each pair of sleeves/clips with transparent tape to keep them together. The company definitely should have used a different way to secure the retaining clips to the legs and ultimately to the shelves. At a minimum there should be a deeper indent on the legs to better retain the clips. I find it hard to believe that this unit can hold up to 750 pounds as the box it came in boasts. Maybe you can do another video putting the 750 pounds claim to the test!

Thank you for this video. The instructions that came with the unit did not explain that the tapered sleeves had ridges inside that fit in the grooves on the poles. As a result, the sleeves were sliding down the legs. Also I didn’t realize that the had a top and bottom. You saved my sanity (until the next DIY project)!

I'm ready to return mine. The two piece holding plastics are too small and don't stay when applying the shelf. Very frustrating evening trying to set this up.
