Do you have to draw the eyeliner on thick? Thick eyeliner looks bad on me. Would these work on thin/basic eyeliner styles?

Is the liner any different? I tried a company before this one and I felt like it was a smoother application. I can’t remember the company for the life of me though. Also I felt like the old version when I tried to clean the magnets it would mess up the magnet? Is the new version better?
