Cairo Cast and Pin Removal.MOV

Cairo (age 6) having his cast removed and three stainless steel pins removed from his elbow. He was a bit scared, but it did not hurt. There is a tiny bit of blood. He had a broken elbow/humerus, known as a supracondylar fracture.

Cairo is doing great. He was more worried than anything, but it didn't really hurt much at all. I hope people with kids can see this and know what to expect.

My almost 3 year old daughter broke her elbow and has two pins. She is getting them removed next week and my wife and I were worried about how our daughter would handle it. This video reassured us that she won't go through anything overly traumatic. Thanks for the video it was really helpful.

I am a 50 yr old female and am having my pins removed this coming Moday. I am shocked how this procedere was not done in a way that the little boy would absolutely no discomfort. It certainly is not done that way in Manitoba. I felt very sorry for this little boy and he was brave.
