I was starting to doubt my decision to go for the 078s and hard considered switching to the 078 - but this clears it up for me! 078s should be great - upgrading from a built-in breville grinder plus a baratza encore for filter to the 078s will be a massive improvement and then to add the ability to buy the turbo burrs if needed

Hey Lance, I certainly appreciate that you've matched the industry's 'hype' over these with your coverage both objective and subjective now. In particular I found this video helpful in providing me with some context, as a Niche owner who has been looking at introducing something onto my bar to allow me to explore filter coffee further. It's tempting to go for the 078 and keep the Niche - but the 078S sound like a great multipurpose option (perhaps lateral move for my espresso, but a great improvement on filter).
