I loved my yellow Ultra III. I loved that my friend with all the expensive Strats seemed dumbfounded by it. I loved the fat whammy. The only problem I had with it is how fast/badly it went outta tune. First strum seemed to cause it to start going. Maybe I should have learned how to fix it. It had such a great sound.

GREAT sound. Has that Moserite/Ventures look to it. This guy has so many different sides to his playing. But what a nice, warm, full sound he's getting. Course, your choice of amp will make a big difference. But if it sounds nearly so good as here, you can't go wrong!

seems like a very versatile guitar that would be great for recording back tracks with a clean channel over a dirty channel

Just got a blue one. It's pretty rad, vintage look, modern feel. It's almost perfect, except that damn Bigby! Wish they made one without it.

What’s the neck shape? And can people who own(ed) the guitar comment on tuning stability, as I’ve heard a number of comments it’s problematic.

Edit (1.2.25) - Anybody have further insight on the tuning stability?

Not a word about the shape or thickness of the neck? That's basically the main thing that determines the feel.

My only concern is whether the guitar stays in tune. I have recently been playing a Korean made PRS which has a standard PRS trem and have been experiencing a lot of de-tune while using it. Can someone tell me how well does the Bigsby handle this?
