2024 Triumph TF 250-X - 'It Can NOT be that Good... Right?'

Months ago, we ventured out to Gainesville, Florida for the press launch of the all new Triumph TF 250-X. Much like the rest of the industry media, SML test rider Pat Foster was genuinely impressed with the first edition machine on track. Well, we have finally taken delivery of our media test bike from Triumph and decided we should revisit the much loved platform on some familiar soil in Southern California.

Surprised Triumph produced an impressive MX bike first try at bat, huh? Did you forget who they hired on the design team? Only the GOAT!

I own my Triumph TF 250 X for 3 months now and I love it, ride this bike is amazing so much control so much front in and the bike is so stable and always want to keep on going, the bike is well made high quality components and parts and easy to work on it, I have zero complaints about it and not planning to leave the brand. 🤘🏻

Good job guys. First no complaint review!!!All the other media was hesitant to praise it. We had to all read between the lines. Longer 2nd gear. Back tire. Hell if thats the complaints. Thats finally great for the customers.

Test rode one of these and was very impressed, also rode a ‘19 Kawasaki that day to compare and was very impressed with how long the gears were on the triumph. Was up and down the box very quick on the Kawasaki. Triumph have done a great job, will only help grow the sport

I’ve noticed that bike looked race ready on its first race.
Been dual sporting for ten years and hit Glen Helen with the Husky 350 a few times.

Being an OG, I’m thinking that’s the bike that could get me back on the track.
GH is about 30 minutes away.
Hmm? I think I’ll check em out in Corona

I hope they bring out an off road model of this machine. Please.

Sounds like somebody got paid.... Nah, jk. I expected these bikes to be very good based on the brand and their success in street. I am pumped to see what they can do with the 450.

Great review, not the biggest Swap Moto fan, but all in all, great content! On a side note, seeing all the hazy pollution at Fox Raceway makes me so thankful to live in the greatest state in the Union, Texas. Keep your pollution and million dollar, three bedroom stucco homes out there! Jeez what a dump!

SEAT POSITION LOOKS VERY LOW, LIKE OLD TWO STROKE YZ FROM 2007.... AND REAR SHOCK HAS 50MM PISTON OR 46MM?

It’s unfortunate to see their factory race team have so many motor failures this year across the SMX season. I would bet that holds a lot of buyers back.

If Triumph is still selling dirt bikes in 10 years I'll be surprised.

so if the MX model is called the X, what would they call the woods bike version?!

poor name choice when most other brands use X for the Enduro model eh...
