Following the events of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, Vedder and McCready were joined by Neil Young to perform the song "Long Road" from the Merkin Ball EP at the America: A Tribute to Heroes benefit concert. The concert, which aired on September 21, 2001, raised money for the victims and their families.

At the end of the song if you listen, Eddie sings we all walk the long road, right after Neil is singing it behind 2 times . And No Eddie is not GOD . This track was from the America A Tribute To Heroes album which was a telethon held in the wake of the attacks of 9/11/01. For those too young to remember, it aftermath was a time where everyone walked around numb, depressed and dad over what happened that day.
