Studio Ghibli movies will always have a special place in my heart. We would watch them all the time growing up, and Kiki's Delivery Service was always one of my very favorites. When I made my first big move away from my childhood home and family, I found myself gravitating towards that movie. I found myself feeling a lot like Kiki, and so I wrote this song for me and her.

So I actually heard this song before I saw Kiki’s Delivery Service (since Netflix now has the Ghibli movies on their service) and I kept wondering when this song would appear...and when it didn’t, I came back here and realized that it’s an OG song!!! This fits it so well and I LOVE this song so much!

This song got me at the “ all waving like birds on the fence” 😢 that really reminds me of my parents when they were alive, my mom liked to wait for me at the fence 10 min prior to my arrival, when I left shopping for groceries. After their passing, I once had a dream about them, only to wake up with tears on my pillow, seriously “ no use in dreaming “. But I only get to see my loved ones in dream now. The lyric really made me cry. Cuz it’s exactly how I felt… really love this song!❤
