The Drifters - 2 songs (live TV 1975)

Long-running American vocal group the Drifters enjoyed three golden eras, the last being the early 1970's when they relocated to England and recorded a string of hits under the auspices of songwriter/producer Tony MacCauley. On the second song here, incomparable singer Johnny Moore takes the lead vocal on Can I Take You Home Little Girl. Johnny Moore sang the original Drifters hit Under The Boardwalk in 1964.

I'm proud to say that I was singing backing vocals on the Drifters records "Can I Take You Home Little Girl" also "There Goes My First Love" together with Roger Greenaway, and my singing partner John Gaughan. It was singer songwriter/producer Roger Greenaway who revived the Drifters hits in the mid 1970's, and Roger was then my manager. The fabulous Jonny Moore of course, put his amazing lead vocal to add the final Drifters sound.
