You could listen to every track on this album "Music For The Masses", and really enjoy yourself Amber. Great reaction and look forward to seeing more of your musical journey. Stay blessed and safe.

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees, and deservedly so. Los Angeles even had a Depeche Mode dedication day, that's how influential they were.

You hit the nail on the head when you said it’s like a drug and a trip to listen to this, because it’s about getting high on a drug trip. His friend! This song live, it amazing with the hands waving back and forth during the last portion of the song! This is a deep deep rabbit hole with tons of great songs from the pioneers of Synthpop!

this song got a bit of a revival last year when it was used during the closing credits of an episode of "Last Of Us" - many people under 35 hearing the song for the 1st time & falling in love with DM...they are a band that has been revered since the 80s & will be for many many decades to come

''The song has nothing to do with relationships. It's about the concept of fleeing from reality and the evil awakening afterwards. Any kind of fleeing. Drugs, alcohol, or whatever." - Martin Gore

One of the greatest bands out there. I knew someone who drove support for them on tour and was blown away by them live and he was a heavy rock fan.

Such a great song. Highly recommend checking out a live version because the audience participation is epic.

The Depeche Mode catalog is DEEP. There's at least a dozen more songs you need to hear from them. We danced all night at The Ocean Club to this group.

this has been one of my absolute favorite bands since its inception.
i've been a regular at their concerts since 1988, and their songs are part of my life.

this song is an iconic song, especially live it unfolds a magnificent pull that no one can escape.

Depeche Mode is one of the greatest concerts I have ever been to. I've been lucky enough to see them twice. And this song (and pretty much all others they play live) are great to sing along with the crowd.

You described the feeling their music gives perfectly. I suggest "Precious", "Everything Counts" also. Love those two

This is one of my favorite Depeche Mode songs and was from the first I album of theirs that I bought when it was released. I have never seen the video for it. Thanks!

DM is my favorite band of all time. Other cool bands to react to: Electronic, New Order, Cause & Effect, and more.

Dave Gahan is one of the purest and most passionated Rock Legends that ever existed - they just were the first who did their goth/metal/rock/mod/H thing with synths, but originated a 100% from the greatest rock, metal and indie scene these days. Together with LZ, pink floyd, lou reed, ten years after, etc, they actually Are the roots of the hole indie scene since! ❤
PLS do "Home" - i love this symphony for driving like nothing else!

PS: It's always on when i go practicing with my Ice-Rally car at night in the snowy alps, because it can calm me down to a point where i can drive 100% relaxed and objective to the beat of the song (perfect 90 to 100 Bpm for driving), driftng along a fast, narrow turn with a 200m drop off, while just enjoying it. I don't know how, but not even a drug can do this :)
I learned years later that Carlos Sainz won his WC titles while notoriously singing a classical symphony what sounded like and Italian Opera singer covering this exact song by Depeche mode xD

One of my favorite Depeche Mode songs ever. The last part of the song when Martin Gore's voice comes in...damn ...I could hear that go on forever and be happy.

It's probably already been mentioned, but the live in Barcelona version of this song is such an amazing example of their stage performance craftsmanship.
