Comparing NHL 11 to NHL 08

Compared to NHL 11, NHL 08 is insane.

It's much faster, everyone hits hard, everyone can shoot backhands at 100mph, and deke the hell out of defensemen. 11's obviously the better hockey game, but I'd say I had much more FUN with 08.

NHL 08 was the best, from 09+ the passes have changed, and the game got much slower. I was ranked in the top 10 online back in the days, now I can't win consistently anymore. Sad they changed it.

The fights in NHL 08 look like a real NHL fist thrower and u can actually see the ref standing in the backround.

Gameplay and Graphics are exactly the same. At least they have given us a few more game modes.

imo 09 was the best game... nhl 08 was a shitload of fun though. nhl 10 and 11 make me wanna blow my brains out sometimes...

NHL 08's presentation things are a lot better than the more recent games... WTF went wrong here? O_o (even the graphics look nicer in these scenes...)

And NHL 11's hitting looks way better compared to 14... WTF is happening???

There are no teal time physics in NHL 11 to repeat myself. EA said not until 2013 will this be. (maybe). Checking is real time....that's it. Better that it is slowed, sticks, more dekes, better colors. That's it on improvements. The glitches are still there. Now sometimes the only way to score. Every shot from the point is blocks and AI magnet sticks block cross crease. U can't dump the puck anymore and can't check in front of net on D. Game goes up in some aspects and down in others. The little scenes in between each play / goal are WAAAAY better in 08. The people actually interact with each other wtf
