A VERY special NS 35N made its way to Peru yard on the morning of June 8th, 2015. Former UP DDA40X 6944 was being returned to the St. Louis Museum of Transportation after it had some major cosmetic work done in Altoona, PA over the past 11 months. Once 35N left Peru, I paced it along Old Highway 24 to Logansport. By that time, it was doing 50 mph so I had to slow down once I got to Logansport. I drove out to Clymers and discovered it in the siding not much later. I got stopped by NS 914, which was led by SD60M 6774 and C40-8W 8407; once that train cleared, 35N once again took off, and that was the last I saw of it. It was a heck of a day!

Engines include:
NS 2600 (SD70M) A VERY sick K5LA in need of some work
NS 9568 (C40-9W)
NS 9464 (C40-9W)
MOTX 6944 (DDA40X) Freshly painted and on its return trip to St. Louis

NS 2600 needs to see the horn doctor 😬. Nice to see Dee-Dee's fresh new look. Looks like they flattened out a tank car and hung it from her belly for a fule tank😂
