Amazing tutorial!
I only struggled when it was necessary to prompt "conda activate invokeai".
The following message appeared:

EnvironmentNameNotFound: Could not find conda environment: invokeai
You can list all discoverable environments with `conda info --envs`

But all I had to do was to type: conda create -n invokeai
Then back to: conda activate invokeai

And that was it.

I can't choose an install directory. Always says "command not found". When I just hit enter (same as yours, it's/users/myname), when I drag the folder in, when I do it in terminal, even made the invokeai folder and dragged it in...nothing works. If it matters, I have 1.5T of space available....MBpro M1 Max. Any thoughts?

i'm getting stuck at 2:27. When I open the invokeai folder in my finder it does nothing. When I look at my Visual Studio Code explorer it isn't listed. I just have the $ invoke.sh one. And when I open up a new terminal, it's blank and I can't even type anything (so can't type in "conda activate invokeai"). What am I doing wrong?

Thank you for this tutorial. I am receiving a problem at the first hurdle lol... the directory location. I have tried to type 'enter' to keep the directory it has suggested... I have also tried to type a different directory but I keep receiving 'command not found' error - this is in visual studio code and Terminal. I have Python installed too but ChatGBT tells me there might be a problem with installation of Python. Can anyone help?

Damn with a base version macbook pro m1 and making a 1024 image it takes so long! Like way over a half an hour for one 1024/1024 ... ( I did do the 4x upscaling as well)

Thank you. Other explanations were not detailed enough to follow. Two questions: What does the choice 1, 2, 3 means? Different browsers? (1 doesn't work for me because I guess it is safari, the 1st one). And then at the step "conda activate invokeai" it writes: "zsh: command not found: conda" but still later on everything works. (Oups just saw the message from Raymond Santellano
I will follow the process)

Thanks for trying man but I get the whole "line 124: python: command not found" when trying to pick the directory. I've installed Python via Visual Studio Code, restarted it, that hasn't worked. Bums me out.

During the installation it writes this error:

note: This error originates from a subprocess, and is likely not a problem with pip.
error: metadata-generation-failed

× Encountered error while generating package metadata.
╰─> See above for output.

I don't understand what the problem is?

Using this video, I got the farthest I've ever got trying to install this, thank you. I am dealing with an issue. At 2:38 in the video when you opened up a new folder, invokeai folder, once you elect OPEN on the folder, my terminal does not show the same as yours does in the video, with the 3 lines, source, (base), (.venv). When I try to run 'conda activate invokeai', i get the following: zsh: command not found: conda. Could you please help? Thank you in advance, and thanks for creating the video.

Man i've tried for so long to get this to work on the regular installation, i'm not sure if I'm doing my $PATH wrong or what but I get that version issue of Python alert even if I have the exact one that's needed. I thought it was torch as well so I installed that and it didn't change anything. I think I'm gonna be forced to manually install this, not entirely sure what now. I managed to get it to work on my gaming laptop but it's giving me GPU memory issues if I try to output anything bigger than a 512 image >.<

Any ideas how should go around fixing this?

I'm installing 2.2.4 At your 1:48 I never have this option. The install eventually ends with 3 error messages:

ERROR: Ignored the following versions that require a different python version: 0.55.2 Requires-Python <3.5; 1.21.2 Requires-Python >=3.7, <3.11; 1.21.3 Requires-Python >=3.7, <3.11; 1.21.4 Requires-Python >=3.7, <3.11; 1.21.5 Requires-Python >=3.7, <3.11; 1.21.6 Requires-Python >=3.7, <3.11
ERROR: Could not find a version that satisfies the requirement torch<1.13.0 (from versions: none)
ERROR: No matching distribution found for torch<1.13.0

My Python is 3.11

I do see an invokeai folder where I designated it to install, but it is empty.
