He does everything you want a classic 9 to do.

Underrated first touch. Tall and strong enough to be an effective target man in the box with any type of service, and to physically bully the opposing backline with press. Good passing when combining with teammates with his back to the goal. And of course most important of all, a composed and reliable finisher.

I love his story and background. What a remarkable young man and his family is fantastically supportive. His movement off the ball is great and his control and physicality are strong. He can reach great heights if he stays healthy. Good luck and good health to him. God Bless.

His technique and intelligence can easily be seen, superior to his teammates. If he did this in a relegation team, imagine a better team where he's actually getting service. I think Pepi has solved our #9 issue, and now with Balogun, we should be good for the next 10 years.

Watching some of his recent touches on the ball and finishing for the USMNT I think he is getting overlooked by the fan base for Balogun. Pepi has done a lot with some tough situations (Augsburg and Groningen), but that pressure is making a diamond in the rough. I look forward to watching him excel.

I love this. Thank you. Pepi is such a talent. Glad he’s in the Eredivisie for development. However, Eredivisie defenders are unathletic kids compared to Bundesliga defenders. But his struggles in the Bundesliga might also be a style of play thing. He should consider Spain or Italy after Holland.

Quite confused why we want him at PSV. He seems to be quite average to me😅. Too slow with the ball

Prototypical American striker: makes good runs, good positioning, contributes on defense, high work rate, so clumsy in the finishing that you wonder how this can be a professional athlete.

Hopefully he gets over that adolescent awkwardness by the time he's 23.

I like his hold up play, but I still think Sargent looks better than Pepi on film. Still, Sargent ought to look better as the older player. By 2026 it's going to be a contest at striker.

WOW. Was expecting to be impressed but damn! He's body'ing people, finishing with the right, the left, heading, has good touch, good dribbling, pace, strength, height. Creating chances for himself and others. He's looking like a menace out there.
