It's too bad this feature seems to be in a perpetual state of dysfunction, and now requires Facebook. Good luck, Waze. The "social" aspect of Waze used to be a focus, and now staff barely even acknowledges that they've removed functionality.

For the sake of the privacy of your users, please consider modifying this great feature so that we don't need to give you our Facebook password.
facebook has an authentication API just for this purpose.

I see that u can actually send messages to ramdon ppl how you do that i see others and when i clicked their waze a messages window pop out but i cant tex them

Too bad this feature doesn't actually work. I'd love to see where my kids are.  We all have waze and all connected to FB and have close friends and family selected.  No joy.

Screw Facebook. Allow linking to friends through your app. Why would you bank your success on the survival of a social app. I have waze on 3 phones. Developers at waze are non responsive, will be a shame to delete them all.
