The way we perceive violence in Hinduism is that violence should be the last resort. "Ahimsa Param Dharmam " means non violence is the topmost dharma.And so if you read about wars in our ancient texts you will always find that the dutiful kings and leaders always give many chances to the other side for choosing the right path and avoiding all the bloodshed. And if they just didn't want to listen after all these warnings, the war became a necessity because it is important to raise your voice against injustice. Violence is sometimes needed because they are left with no other choice. But till u have a choice you should avoid violence. And with respect to Lord Krishna killing demons the story is different than how usually it works. First of all when a being is killed by the hands of God, he attains moksha . Second, he forgave indradev, brahmadev and even evil beings like kaliya because there was scope for him but all the demons that he killed were called demons for a reason. They had gone so far down towards evil that it was impossible for them to return. They had become mindless beasts. No scope for them and they were mercilessly torturing innocents. That is why they get a brutal death a lot of tyms because there are repurcussions to your actions and their major sins caused them brutal deaths . Killing them was actually an act of mercy. They attained moksha or got a fresh start . Because in this life they were just pushing themselves farther and farther from good that there was no coming back. After they were killed, those who were not meant to attain moksha got a better chance at spiritual advancement in the next life than they had in that life.

Smite is a MOBA game, like Dota or Lol, there is, 2 teams of 5 players face each other in a sort of battle royal.

In Smite, it's a sort of "war of pantheons", that is, the characters are gods (sometimes heroes, monsters or semi-gods) from several different pantheons.

Before Lord Shiva showed up, you were seeing Merlin and Arthur (yes, from the legends of Camelot) alongside Gilgamesh (a mythic king from the Sumerian pantheon) and Bellona (a goddess of battle to the Romans), fighting against Morgana LeFey (again from Camelot), another goddess (who I honestly dont know who is) and the big dragon was Tiamat, which were the Sumerian archetype of the "dragon of chaos" (like the serpent Apophis of the egyptians or the nordic Jormungandr, who are all basically cthonic monsters of primordial destruction), and Tiamat represented the Primordial sea, from which everything came from in the ancient summerian myth.

That's what you guys were seeing here, before Ganesha woke up lord Shiva.

The game has several other gods in it, like Hercules, Zeus, Poseidon, Hades (greek), Mercury, Janus (Roman), Xbalanque, Hui Batz (Mayan), Ra, Osiris, Set, Horus, Isis (Egyptian), Amaterasu, Susano (japanese), Ogum, Yemoja (African), Odin, Thor, Loki (Nordic), Sun Wukong, Guan Lee (Chinese)

And those just to name a few, because there are many, many more.

From hinduism, besides Ganesha and Lord Shiva there's also Kali and more (I dont remember which others, it has been many many years since I last played it, and they constantly add more. Oh yes, there's Rama too that I remember, but Im sure there's more). There are hundreds of Gods, and even more pantheons than the examples I gave.

And Im my opinion, none received a better representation than Shiva did in this trailer (and in the game itself). Im not a hinduist or indian, but I admire Shiva, and loved what they did here, Shiva absolutely deserves the spotlight

Actually that wasn’t a demon she was tiamat she’s the goddess of the salt waters and created the world and was also mother of all monsters. Its a fight against gods but there are non gods such as cuthulu, bakasura, mulan etc. its a great game you should definitely check it out. Team roger all the way 😂.
