One BIG question! If the damaged that was caused at the first launch were done in a landing on mars Would the rocket be able to land at the crater caused by the rocket exaust against the martian surface.

Let me ask Elon a question how much fuel in 100% of fuel tank is used to get off the ground versus the ground to atmosphere

~~~ Instead of wasting boosters that will not return to a landing. Boost them into orbit after seperation, collect them as a small group then boost them into a safer orbit as a fuel tank farm that could be refueled by rockets that only transport fuel as a payload. Then you would have a fueling station.
