I took a ride in one of Nigeria colonial train, this used to be one of the most crowded train in Nigeria but am hoping this might have change as a result of railway modernization happening in Nigeria. So guys follow me and let’s take the ride together as we also take a view of Lagos from this ride. The train usually goes from Iddo in Lagos to Ijoko/Ijoko in Ogun State.

well done Gbolahan, thanks for this insight. i took this same train some years ago to Agege from Ebutte Meta Junction, also over crowded. The old train seems to be travelling as fast as the new ones currently, i wonder when they will test higher speed in lagos since it's being fenced off.

Hi Gbolahan, have you ever thought of going all the way to Kano with this train, heard it runs Fridays to Kano the narrow guage. it will be a blockbluster on youtube!!

For me, the old stations are far more beautiful than the new ones. Iddo station is grand, and Ebute-metta junction is simply majestic. Can you imagine what they'd look like if someone cares to add some simple aesthetic touches to them.
