I love how this went from ‘I need to help out with our daily cooking more often’ to ‘let’s try and bake one simple pie once, and take a week to do it’. 😂

Craig, the crust cracks when it is too cold. With pie crust, temperature is the most important ingredient. It's not too much water or the wrong ratio of butter to flour. It's the temperature. Also, you are now the world record holder for girthiest crust. Congratulations and Happy Thanksgiving to you

I remember MANY years ago you made a video from your parents house, featuring that same E.T. glassware.
I made a video response wink video featuring identical E.T. glassware that we've had since I was a kid.
It's so cool seeing that glassware making an appearance again. What a callback.

Hilarious as always!

May I suggest:

Pie crust
2 c. flour
2/3 - 3/4 c. vegetable shortening (butter flavored is good)
pinch salt
5-6 T. water

Mix first three ingredients until it resembles corn meal. Sprinkle in water and combine until it forms a ball. Do not over mix. Chill slightly if desired. DO NOT BEAT WITH ROLLING PIN LIKE A MADMAN. Divide dough in half and roll out.

I've never been more invested in a pie. The tension over will it be or not be made! Then a satisfactory ending with pie, wine, and turkey swears. This is truly a masterpiece.

I don’t know if you’ll see this… but here goes. I’ve been watching since the beginning and my daughter (now living on her own) remembers me watching and “the old days”. She told a story at thanksgiving. She teaches kids creative writing, and one day last week one of them wanted to go into a room they don’t let the kids go into, and then another did too. She has now told them all they can’t go that way because there’s an alligator pit in there. 😂😂😂
So THANKS FOR YOU this thanksgiving. 😅❤

I laughed unreasonably hard for the “that’s really far away” comment. I’m such a sucker for puns

I stumbled across your videos while being home sick with the flu, and I can't begin to tell you how much joy they've brought me. You're so freaking funny that my constant laughter keeps triggering coughing fits. Totally worth it. Keep up the awesome work!

Been noticing that your editing with your vlogs has stepped up a LOT in the past month. You try new things every video, and it is so cool! In this video I loved your fast-edited montages, well-timed humor, and a pretty shot of the Christmas tree's lights reflecting on your fridge.

The pie making saga was probably one of the most inspiring video journeys that I needed to see more than I realized. Anything is possible. I'm gonna make my dreams come true now. Thanks Craig.

I wish I could share a picture here of our 3rd generation Avocado Green electric knife that we inherited from my husband's grandmother and mother. I heard that noise whirring along and jumped a little from excitement, lol. The things that make feel cozy and connected in middle age.

I never thought I could see a 40 year old man be so delighted by cooking his first pie, but I am delighted for him too. Keep doing all the stuff please
