Lisbon Bairro Alto.mov

Barrio Alto is a wonderful district with multiple personalities making it worthy of several visits: during the day it is a local working-class place with inexpensive small restaurants, and many fine shops ranging from funky to elegant; but late at night it becomes the entertainment center of Lisbon, pulsating with nightclubs and bars. It is easy to reach on the hillside overlooking downtown Lisbon.

I have been on one of those trams in the past and let me tell you, it's nothing less than a time machine. It took me back in the past and felt very nostalgic. There's one going from baixa to Alges, it's absolutely lovely.

Lisbon is amazing....had a 4 day citybreak back in September and loved the place. The Bairro Alto is incredible at night..incredible nighlife and great atmosphere.

I saw "Fado" being mentioned on this video and I even been in most of these places.
Now I´m gonna share a tiny detail for most tourist visiting these "Fado" places.

There´s a very Portuguese sentence "Silêncio que se vai cantar o Fado". it literally means, "Silence, Fado is going to be sung".

It´s considered a "lack of respect" to speak loudly while the artist sing.

Cervejeiria da Trinidade had many wonderful meals there. Great food and wonderful atomosphere. Beautiful restaurant. Nowhere in Europe do you eat or drink as well for so little  as you do in Portugal.

Always find a resturant in little quit street like in travessa da boa hora then you can enjoy outside sitting and good price resturant otherwise in the beginning resturants are very fast not good service very expensive

Please, you should say " Poço da Cidade", and no "Poco da Cidade..."
Portuguese is a very nice language, do not destroy it....!!!!
