guzzler stations controversy in Nevada and other states

I agree with the guzzler stations especially since the states point out that they only provide water in a few spots for animals in which because of cattle grazing and burros--virtually all available water sources have been fouled and destroyed. The cattle ranchers say "you are taking water from out cattle"--that simply does not hold water. A classic case is the Olive Oatman first camp of captivity with its pristine pools of water that where there has in the past 50 years been totally destroyed by burros and cattle which crap right in the water and then go to the next source to destroy it or dig in the sand. In agricultural areas water is pumped down and old water habitats have been destroyed so I agree with providing water to some of the big game to "even the score".. I know I cant buy steaks anyway--only the elite can anymore.

Hi Jeff, so what would be controversial,
Perhaps changing the natural balance subtly and allowing more survival during drought times?
