I have been using MX browns forever since everyone has talked about them. Yesterday I was messing with a switch tester and found browns dead 💀 to me when you compare it with others. I was shocked 😳 that I have been living this lie.

I have a different take on why MXBrowns won: people don’t like tactile switches that much. Browns are the least tactile, near linear switch.

Preference in keyboards generally do end up swaying heavily towards what "people are used to using." My first week on T1 tactiles were meh, and then they were suddenly my daily. I wonder how they'd feel after using certain switches for a full week as opposed to just "touching them a few times" and then jumping out because the water was too cold.

You should reach out to LTT and revisit this blind switch test. You can bring your lubed switches/different keyboard cases and have them be blown away

fun fact: your channel got me into keyboards. one months later and nearly 70 hours of p;lanning and im building my build in august! (specs are tofu 60, dz60pcb from kbdfans, standard kbdfans case foam, a brass plate, and bannana split switches (in a group buy which is why they are taking so long to arrive) will film switches but not lube, but i will be lubing stabs. overall, super excited for this build, thanks for getting me into this community glarses!
